Become part of the COMTA accreditation process

We’re always looking for smart professionals with a commitment to elevating our industry. We count on the expertise of volunteers for critical elements in the accreditation process.

As a volunteer, you’ll

Grow your perspective

See how massage and esthetics education is implemented across the country, and get fresh ideas from fellow professionals.

Get connected

Meet new people and expand your industry network.

Help other schools

While you’re learning from others, they’ll be learning from you as well. You’ll have the chance to assist other programs through accreditation and be there to share best practices.

Take a leadership role in the profession

COMTA is setting the standard and elevating the industry. As an integral part of our process, you’ll have an influential voice.

Conduct peer reviews and on-site visits

During the school accreditation process, volunteers complete the Peer Review and On-site Visit. These volunteers provide COMTA with verification of the documentation, practices, and assertions of the institution or program, as it relates to accreditation standards.

Represent COMTA as a commissioner

As an accrediting agency with a specialized area, COMTA has Commission positions dedicated to represent administrators, educators, and practitioners with direct experience in massage and esthetics schools and programs. See COMTA Bylaws (pp 3-4) for complete description of requirements of each position.
