How does the massage profession benefit?

COMTA is one of five accrediting agencies which actively participate in membership with the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care (ACCAHC). In addition to our Executive Director, Kate Zulaski and Commissioner Dr. Dale Healey participating in conference calls with ACCAHC, a number of massage therapy folks are involved with the group and working together to promote massage therapy within alternative and complementary health care as well as in more mainstream health conversations.

John Weeks, Executive Director of ACCAHC, has provided an update for COMTA regarding what is happening in relation to massage therapy through involvement with ACCAHC. Read the report here for the March 2012 update.

Questions about COMTA involvement with ACCAHC should be directed to Kate Zulaski.
