July 12, 2019 Commission Meeting – Commission Actions
The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) has concluded its July 12, 2019 Commission meeting via teleconference. By action of the Commission, the following schools have received the following:
Initial Accreditation Granted
- Blue Cliff College – Gulfport, MS – Programmatic – July 2019 – July 2024
- Body Wisdom Massage Therapy School – Urbandale, IA – Institutional – July 2019 – July 2026
- Serenity Massage P.L.L.C. – Kingwood, TX – Institutional – July 2019 – July 2026
Continue Probation
- Institute for Therapeutic Massage (Haskell, Tinton Falls, Bloomfield, NJ)
The Commission accepts the institution’s interim financial report and continues the probation for Standard XII (A) Financial Stability and Standard XV(A) Title IV Administration. The Commission will re-evaluate the institution’s financial stability at its October 2019 meeting. The maximum time frame for compliance is extended for good cause until October 31, 2019.
