The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) regrets to announce the resignation of Commissioner Susanne Schmaling, effective March 8, and wishes to thank her for her dutiful service.
Ms. Schmaling had served in the Esthetics Practitioner position since November 2016. During this tenure, she made many contributions and provided a crucial perspective on the needs of the esthetics community to the Commission. However, Ms. Schmaling has recently accepted a new career opportunity which significantly inhibits her ability to continue her volunteer service with COMTA.
The Commission and staff congratulate Susanne on her new position, thank her for her work with COMTA, and wish her continued success. Her intelligence and poise will be missed, but we know she is doing important work to advance the esthetics profession.
The COMTA Nominating Committee will work to include the Esthetics Practitioner position in the upcoming election. Please contact the COMTA office at info@comta.org if you would like to nominate a qualified candidate.
