Commission Actions
The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) has concluded its July 9, 2025, Commission meeting. By action of the Commission, the institutions noted below have received the following:
Initial Accreditation granted:
- Stepney Institute of Esthetics and Wellness (Homewood, IL) – Institutional Accreditation –
750-hour Esthetics Program
- The Elite Touch Institute (Shrewsbury, NJ & Kingston, PA) – Institutional Accreditation
700-hour Massage Therapy Program
- Urban River Massage Institute (Greenville, SC) – Institutional Accreditation
650-hour Massage Therapy Program

Removal of Show Cause:
Dolly Monroe Beauty Academy (Tampa, FL) – The Commission acted to remove show cause and probation, effective immediately
