The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) has concluded its October 17-19, 2012 Commission Meeting.

By action of the Commission, the following schools have received renewal of accreditation, placed on probation or completed a substantive change process (renewal schools placed on show cause, probation or deferral are considered accredited institutions):

Renewal of Accreditation – Programmatic
(Accreditation Period October 2012 – October 2017):
• Community College of Baltimore County – Massage Therapy program – (Baltimore, MD)

Renewal of Accreditation w/ Conditions – Programmatic

(Accreditation Period October 2012 – October 2017):
• Elgin Community College – Massage Therapy Program – (Elgin, IL)
• National University of Health Sciences – Massage Therapy Program – (Lombard, IL)

Renewal of Accreditation w/ Conditions – Institutional
(Conditions to be reviewed at next meeting)

• Educating Hands School of Massage – (Miami, FL)
• International Professional School of Bodywork – (San Diego, CA)
• New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts – (Hudson, NH and Bridgton, ME)
