Commission Actions
The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) has concluded its April 14-15, 2026, Commission meeting. By action of the Commission, the institution noted below has received the following:
Initial Accreditation granted:
- Elite Myotherapy Institute (Palisades Park, NJ – Institutional Accreditation –
600-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program
610-hour Basic Massage Therapy Program
Congratulations to COMTA’s newest school member!!
Denial of Accreditation:
The Skin Institute (St. George, UT) – The Commission acted to deny institutional accreditation for failure to provide the FY2023 audited financial statement or an independently prepared compilation of financial disclosure demonstrating financial stability, as required for compliance with Standard XII(A).
The Commission accepted the voluntary surrender of programmatic accreditation for Ivy Technical Community College, effective April 30, 2026.
