The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) would like to bring your attention to the following announcements discussed at the June 4, 2015 Special Session meeting:
Documents to Demonstrate Alignment of COMTA Curriculum Competencies & ELAP Student Learning Outcomes – Call for Comment
-
The Commission approved two (2) new documents to be part of the COMTA Endorsed Curriculum approval process:
-
Entry-Level Analysis Project (ELAP) Summary of Learning Outcomes Aligned with COMTA Competencies
These documents were drafted by COMTA staff and the COMTA Endorsed Curriculum Advisory Group to serve as guideposts for schools looking to align their curriculum with the ELAP recommendations and the COMTA Curriculum Competencies.
COMTA will continue to use the Competency Chart to confirm and verify compliance with the COMTA Curriculum Competencies. The added column is for reference purposes for those schools working toward alignment with both, as well as demonstrating how the COMTA Competencies reflect the ELAP recommendations.
-
The documents are available for a public call for comment period. Please click here to review the documents and complete a brief survey prior to July 20, 2015 for consideration at the next Commission meeting.
Be sure to check the COMTA website regularly for actions and alerts. The Commission updates all pertinent actions and alerts on its website.
