Educators and Practitioners of Esthetics – Please Apply
The Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA) is seeking Candidates for two Commissioner positions. Both positions are dedicated for representatives of the Esthetics field. The deadline for applications has been extended until June 1, 2013. The positions begin service in October 2013. Please see the Elections page for more details.
An announcement previously posted had a strict limitation on applications from individuals holding leadership positions in national organizations. This limitation was an error; the corrected limitations are as follows:
All Commissioner positions: No member of the board of directors of any organization with a vested interest in the activities of COMTA shall be eligible for election or appointment as a Commissioner.
Public Member means a person who is not:
i) An employee, member of the governing board, owner or shareholder of, or consultant to, an institution or program that is either accredited by the agency or has applied for accreditation;
ii) A member of any trade association or membership organization related to, affiliated with, or associated with the agency; or
iii) A spouse, parent, child, or sibling of an individual identified in part i or ii of this definition.
