By action of the Commission, the school noted below has received the following:
Extension of Accreditation Grant
- Gadsden State Community College – Massage Therapy Program (Gadsden, AL) – the program’s current grant of accreditation is extended to October 31, 2021
As published, a March 17, 2020 guidance document from the USDE states that accrediting agencies have the discretion to extend terms of accreditation, for a reasonable period of time during the COVID-19 interruption. Due to an extended period of interrupted educational and operational activities, the Commission granted a seven-month extension on the renewal of accreditation for the institution.
